Gotta start somewhere...

So why not here? Seems ideal to me.

Last evening I conducted a conference call for one of the groups I participate in and run along side two other individuals. One of the individuals joined in on the call. In addition to that person, 2 others dialed in. Not much of a conference huh? I thought so too but my wishful thinking always seems to prevail. I am glad it did. My first mind was proved right.

Though my intent on the call was to "brow beat" some of the newer members that had confirmed attendance and didn't show,  I realized  later after I got off the call  that I had gotten a sense of calm, some relief and felt good about the direction of the group with the same old 4 faithful members. I valued the input of the 4 individuals who were on the call much more so that I probably would have if I had 20 or even 30 other RSVP's. What is the lesson in duality here? Commitment.

Commitment is a strange animal. It has the ability to birth and bury one's ability. It has the fortitude to leave behind regret or instill lasting satisfaction. Assuming most things have this capability, commitment is different simply because of its unique power and position especially if poised with the right timing and a positive team.

So what are effective means of determining the right timing and if you have a positive team? Of course, asking yourself the basic questions that only you can answer is the perfect place to start. Once identified the plans begins to "magically" fall into place and then and only then can you reaffirm your commitment along the way.

I have spent years trying to identify what is worthy of my commitment when in fact all I really needed to do was take a look around. I see now what perhaps I failed to look for then.

With that, won't you join me in making a new commitment to evaluate your current commitments today? Gotta start somewhere....why not here?

Peace and Power Good People.
